JT Van Zandt

JT discovered Fly Fishing in 1991 while attending the University of Texas. For 30 years now it has been the main pursuit of his existence. As a prominent guide on the Middle Texas Coast, JT shares his passion for sight casting to redfish and also for conservation with over 250 clients per year. His voice for conservation has served to educate and inform his local community as well as the fly fishing community world wide.

Fly Fishing is the primary focus but learning everyday to be a better fisherman and a better human being is the reason for being on the water everyday. JT sees every sunrise as an opportunity to study wildlife and the chance to gain a greater understanding of nature
