Mako Lifetime Warranty

Mako reels are built to perform for a lifetime. Our lifetime warranty, available to the original owner, covers repair or replacement for any manufacturer defect. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or any modifications that alter factory-calibrated settings.

Warranty Service Request

If you believe your reel requires warranty service, please complete the Warranty Service Form. Provide as much detail as possible about the issue, and our team will review your submission and follow up with next steps.

Repair Requests (Non-Warranty)

For repairs not covered under warranty, please fill out the Service & Repair Form. Include detailed information about the problem, and we will provide you with a repair quote after reviewing your request.

Routine Service – $150

Prepare your reel for the next adventure with our comprehensive maintenance service. This includes:

Complete drag system inspection

Replacement of updated or worn components

New gaskets and full resealing

Fresh zero and full-drag calibration

This service ensures optimal performance before important trips.

Retrieve Swap – $150

Purchased a used Mako reel with the wrong retrieve orientation? We can switch it to left- or right-hand retrieve. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days. Please complete the Service Form before sending in your reel.
